Diesel engine exhaust SPARKO Mild Steel Spark Arrestors are designed specifically for preventing the risk of fire, du to ignition of flammable materials, caused by spark emission from the exhausts if internal combustion engines.
The risk of fire from sparks emitted through engine exhausts is high, which is why many hazardous sites require engines to be fitted with spark arrestors. This is particularly important for diesel engines, where partially burned carbon particles can accumulate in the exhaust.
When the engine goess off-load, these particles may ignite and be discharged as highly dangerous sparks, creating a serious fire hazard. Spark arrestors prevent these burning particles from escaping through the exhaust.
The correct product can be selected from the below tables based on identification from the engine power and the physical pipe size. Standard products are manufactures with inlet (Outlet pipes to fit on the exhaust pipe and are supplied with fixed clamps.)
